Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development

Course Description

Through a combination of theory and hands-on learning, this course enables students to learn important concepts in sports coaching. Both theory-based and practical instruction will teach you the fundamental skills you need to support your development. You will learn various sports, some of which will be new to you and quickly become a proficient performer through many forms of coaching and instruction.

We will evaluate your technique and any performance habits you may have acquired in high school, and we will provide you with coaching on how to improve through performance analysis. Consequently, this will help you gain a deeper understanding of performance analysis when coaching in various sporting environments and provide you with the confidence to confidently use the same methods with others when coaching in schools and sports clubs. This course will help you gradually become a more independent learner, with the aim of leading in a coaching-based environment and be able to improve performance when needed to promote growth, development and learning in others.

Due to the course being 100% coursework, the theory based content is a large significant element of the course and not solely practical based.
