Health T Level - Adult Nursing

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Your course will cover a wide range of academic and practical tasks. During this you will study a range of topics including. Year 1 Working in Health Care, safeguarding, Anatomy and physiology, body systems detailed study of a variety of conditions and a large project set by employers. Corse skills including literacy, numeracy and digital.

Year 2- supporting health care, working with individuals meeting care needs, assist registered professionals, physiological measurements, policy and good practice

Supporting the adult nursing team, range of clinical skills, support individual for daily living, assist with treatment of skin conditions.

This is a highly academic course where you will develop a wide range of knowledge and skills. You will undertake 315 hours of Vocational placement working within the Health sector, gaining confidence and developing essential skills to start your career in Health.

Much of your teaching and assessment will take place in our Technical room. This is a room with a wide range of resources you would find in a hospital ward. This ensures that your practical skills continually develop as you utilse the equipment you will use through your career in Health.

Despite the title of the course pathway of adult nursing student’s progress onto a wide range of Careers in: Adult nursing, Paediatric Nursing, mental health nursing, social work and many other health related roles.

A range of externally assessed methods including: exams, practical tasks within your placement setting, completion of an employer set project and assessment of competency with essential skills.

A whole range of academic and fun enrichment will be planned during your 2 years at college. Recent enrichment include: Disney land Paris, Chester Zoo, Alton towers, cinema, Cathedral, Buddhist centre, Jewish Museum, guest speakers and outstanding placements.
