When ARE results days this summer?Ìý

Thursday 15th August – from 8.30am
All level 3 qualifications, including:
  • A levelÌý
  • BTEC (Unit results and overall grades)

Thursday 22nd August – from 8.30am
All level 2 qualifications, including:

All results slips will be released via students'Ìýcollege email accounts

Due to data protection, weÌýcannotÌýissue results to an alternative email address or to anyone other than the student. We strongly advise students to check that they can access their email account before results day, in case of any problems including forgotten passwords.

If you are a student having problems accessing your results:

Complete the following steps:

1. Check your college email including your ‘junk’ folder

2. If there is still no sign of your results slip, please wait until 09:00 and then email the exams team onÌýresultsqueries@asfc.ac.ukÌýwith details of your full name, date of birth and the results you are expecting.Ìý As there are large numbers of students receiving results, not all emails may arrive at exactly 08:30.

3. If you do not have access to your college email, request a password reset via main reception (0161 330 2330) and try logging on again after 1 hour.

Help and frequently asked questions:

From Monday 5th August onwards, you can contact college on 0161 330 2330 for IT staff to re-set your password.ÌýÌýYou will need toÌýanswer security questions to re-set your account.ÌýÌýOnce security is cleared, you with a new password.ÌýÌýThere will be a delay of approximately 1 hour while your re-set request processes.Ìý This is why you should check your access before results day!

Then, check your ‘junk’ folder.

If the email containing your results is found in ‘junk’, you need to move this to your inbox to view your results slip attachment (you may need to close your e-mails down and start again if accessing via a mobile device).

If you have checked all the above and there is no email, wait until 9.00am and then contactÌýresultsqueries@asfc.ac.ukÌýusing your college email address and confirming:Ìý

Subjects you are expecting results for.

No, as results are released in the summer holidays, teaching staff are not expected in college.ÌýÌýThey are also unlikely to be reading their emails.Ìý But, a core number of staff are available in college to provide careers advice/clearing assistance (scroll straight down to the bottom of this page and click the UCAS advice link)Ìýand to discuss post result services.

Yes, the exams team will be happy to advise you aboutÌýpost results services (reviews of marking etc.)ÌýÌýPriority will be given to students who have lost a university place, an apprenticeship or a job offer due to their results.Ìý

If we can’t resolve your query by email, we will phone you or offer you an appointment to come into college for more discussion.

There are several services that the examination boards offer if you feel that a mistake may have been made with your grade:

GCSE - information and application formÌýhereÌý
NCFE/Cache qualifications - see your teacher for help once college begins on 22nd August (urgent queries - speak to the Exams team)
*including the priority service which is available if your university place is at risk.

Not all qualifications have grade boundary information which is easy to publish in a single document - see your teacher once college reopens for information about T level and NCFE/Cache qualification information.

Students progressing into their second year:

If you have just received results at the end of your first year and are now continuing into the second year, you can apply to re-sit the following exams:

  • BTEC exam/set task units
  • GCSE Maths
  • GCSE English
  • Criminology unit 2

More information will be provided via your teachers and on Canvas once you are back in college.

If you have just completed your second year at ASFC, it is unfortunately not possible for us to offer re-sits to improve your overall grade in any of our qualifications.Ìý Please contact our careers team if you need help and advice about your options with the grades you have achieved.

Your certificates won’t arrive into college until late in the autumn term.Ìý So, you will be able to collect them from main reception in January.Ìý We will remind you that certificates are available via college’s social media accounts.Ìý Any certificates that aren’t collected within one year are destroyed and replacements will be charged for by the exam boards.

Universities understand that you won't have certificates when you enrol with them - please use a print out of your results slip if they need you to confirm your results.
